For a while now i've been trying all sorts of things to regain my healthy thick hair that i used to once have *wipes tears away* but they haven't made a drastic improvement. I literally haven't straightened or curled my hair in about 2years i think and have been using an assortment of hair oils such as: rosemary essential oil; which stimulates hair growth and good for the scalp, coconut oil, argan oil; which can be found it the famous moroccan oil and avocado oil; which when massaged on scalp can improve blood flow thus stimulate hair growth. There are a number of ways you can use these oil, whether it be separately or mixed together, as a hair conditioner for everyday use or as a hair mask. I use it as a hair mask about every week or so and would get my little pot and mix the ingredients together like i would be making some sort of special potion
Like i said i haven't seen a drastic change and so in my recent trip to Westfield i popped into Lush and was told by the sales assistant of a product that apparently was, i quote 'amazing'. I believe its called 'New' solid shampoo bar.
Having looked at the ingredients i was convinced that it must be good, as when i was purchasing my oils, had done my reading and remembered the ingredients mentioned in the New solid shampoo bar were specifically good for hair growth. I won't pretend that the sales lady helped me much except point me in the right direction but its good to know that she new her lush products well, as normally the sales assistant would just pick out the most expensive product and claim it works miracles.
It contains: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Nettle and Peppermint Infusion, Glycerine, Nettle Absolute, Rosemary Absolute, Bay Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil,Cinnamon Leaf Oil, *Cinnamal, *Eugenol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 73360,Cinnamon sticks.
The bay oil, clove bud oil, and cinnamon leaf leaf oil, work together to to stimulate the scalp and hair follicles for healthy hair growth. The peppermint oil stimulates the blood flow, which in turn gives the follicles a boost. The bar only costs £5.25 which in my opinion is relatively cheap and apparently can be used for upto 80 washes...that's 15p a wash - bargain! It is also one of those shampoos that you can use regularly as it is of light consistency.
To use the product you simply wash it between your hands and lather it into you head. You would actually be surprised by the amount of product you get from a few rubs as it is enough to wash your whole head. The actual smell when you use the bar is very strong however it doesn't linger once you are out the bath. Also to my surprise it left my hair feeling soft and healthy. Many have said it leaves their hair dry, i've personally not encountered this but if you do just use a good conditioner. I would recommend this to people and for only £5.25 you cant go wrong!
